LIPSTICK EFFECT

Lipstick Effect Lips

High-definition, full-lip color that heals like your go-to lipstick — crisp borders, rich tone and zero daily fuss.        Custom shade mixed to complement your undertone.

If lips are very cool/dark, we may neutralize first for the truest healed shade.

Benefits of Lipstick Effect

Bold, healed color that looks like your favorite lipstick—refined borders, custom shade, and minimal daily effort.

High Coverage Finish

Saturated, true-to-shade color that heals with more opacity than lip blush—like a soft lipstick look.

Crisp Border Refinement

Subtle outline refinement to balance asymmetry and define the Cupid’s bow without looking overdrawn.

Custom-Mixed Shade

We blend pigments to complement your undertone—choose from wearable nudes to richer berry or coral tones.

Water & Transfer-Friendly

Wake up with color—swim, sip, and smile without the constant reapplication of traditional lipstick.

Heals Soft, Not Flat

Technique aims for depth and dimension so the healed result looks lush and lively, not opaque or chalky.

Lasts 1–3 Years

Longevity varies by lifestyle and skin; most clients refresh every 12–24+ months to keep color picture-perfect.

If your lips are very cool/dark, we may recommend a brief neutralization course first for the truest lipstick shade.

Pre-Care

  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil) for 48–72 hours unless prescribed — ask your physician first.

  • Pause retinoids/acids on and around the lips for 7 days.

  • No lip fillers within 3–4 weeks before/after the procedure.

  • No heavy sun exposure or tanning for 3 days prior.

  • If you have a history of cold sores (HSV), ask your physician about a preventive antiviral.

  • Hydrate lips with balm in the days prior; avoid harsh scrubs in the last 48 hours.

  • Eat a light meal beforehand and arrive with clean, makeup-free lips.

Tip — Bring inspiration shades you love; we’ll custom-mix to suit your undertone.

After-Care

  • Expect mild swelling for 24–48h; you may use a cool compress wrapped in cloth (10 min on/off).

  • Keep lips clean and lightly moisturized — apply a thin layer of ointment as instructed, 3–5× daily.

  • No picking or rubbing. Avoid kissing, steam/sauna, and swimming for 7–10 days.

  • Avoid spicy, salty, or very hot foods for 48–72h; drink with a straw and blot gently after meals.

  • No makeup or active skincare on the lips until flaking ends (about 5–7 days).

  • Avoid sun/tanning; once healed, use an SPF lip balm to protect color.

  • Avoid heavy exercise/sweating for the first 48h.

  • Book your perfecting session at 6–10 weeks for best results.

Note — Color appears deeper at first and softens as it heals; minor asymmetries are refined at touch-up.

FAQ — Lipstick Effect

Answers to the most common questions—from candid differences with lip blush to healing, sessions, and longevity.

  • Clients wanting a higher-coverage, lipstick-like result with refined borders. If your lips are very cool/dark, we may neutralize first to achieve the truest healed shade.

  • Lipstick Effect heals more saturated and defined—like a soft lipstick. Lip Blush is sheerer with a watercolor finish and softer border.

  • Most clients complete the look in 1–2 sessions. A perfecting session at 6–10 weeks refines brightness and small gaps.

  • Typically 1–3 years depending on skin, lifestyle, sun exposure, and aftercare. Many refresh every 12–24+ months.

  • Day 1–2 looks brighter and fuller. Days 3–7 flake and look lighter, then the color “blooms” back softly over the next couple of weeks.

  • Plan for about 2–2.5 hours including consultation, mapping, custom shade mixing, and aftercare review.

  • Most rate it mild to moderate. We use comfort-focused technique and approved topical numbing when appropriate.

  • Sometimes. Many previous tattoos need lightening first. Send clear photos for assessment and we’ll advise your best path.

  • For the first 48–72 hours, avoid spicy/salty/very hot foods; use a straw for drinks, blot gently after meals, and keep the lips lightly moisturized.

    • Active cold sores—please wait until fully healed; ask your physician about preventive antiviral.
    • Pregnancy/breastfeeding, active infections, or recent fillers (3–4 weeks) require timing/clearance.
    • Retinoids/acids on the lip area should be paused per pre-care guidance.
